Description: Travel Counselor
Odyssey Travel is actively seeking travel counselors that can combine their passion for selling travel with a customer service focused approach. We strive to create life-long advocates of our company. Our counselors act as consultants customizing vacations and services to meet each client’s needs.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years experience as a travel agent
• Computer reservation experience preferred, SARBE is preferred but not required
• Candidate must possess strong consultative selling skills and show the ability to listen to the customer’s needs by offering appropriate recommendations
• Must have a proven ability to close the sale and cross-sell additional products and services
• The ability to work well under pressure and effectively multi-task while maintaining professional rapport with customers is essential
• The ability to work flexible shifts is essential
• Understands and properly uses travel industry terminology, fare basis codes, airline rules and tariffs, and resources
• Possess an exemplary positive attitude; is passionate about offering unparalleled customer service and excels in maintaining excellent associates relations
• Excellent phone manner and written communications style
• Excellent organizational skills
