Think Ultra Urban blending with Hawaiian Chic and you’ll find yourself in Hawaii’s hottest address, Parc Waikiki.  Just steps away from world famous Waikiki Beach, the 297 room “Parc” has everything you’re looking for in a boutique hotel.  It’s pretty, modern, fresh & stylish featuring urban tropical interiors, rich ebony hardwoods, illuminated glass walls, selective works of bold art combined with warm, personalized service. The property boasts a seductive roof top pool called PARC BLUE, a sophisticated hospitality center called CONNECT and the hottest restaurant in Oahu, NOBU WAIKIKI. Plus they offer packages that include free breakfast, free surfing lessons and even a sporty Lotus Elise car rental, making luxury affordable.

The Pool:  So let’s start at the top.  And by this I mean literally-with Parc Blue, their roof-top pool featuring stunning views of Waikiki Beach and the city’s skyline.  At night, weather permitting, guests can enjoy a “Dive In Movie” under a star-filled sky while floating in the pool or lounging in a chaise cabana while glowing in the warmth of the Hawaiian fire pits.  The pool is on the small side, about 4 feet deep and not meant for serious lap swimming, but don’t let that keep you from enjoying its charm.

The Rooms:  All of the guest rooms are modern and elegant and feature super-soft crisp white linens on either a king sized or two double beds.  There are plantation shutters on the windows, ceramic flooring and plush textured inlaid carpeting.  The guest bathrooms have stone countertops and European water fixtures and are stocked with exclusive Maile / Lavender amenities including milled soap, bath gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.  Bathrobes are available upon request and if you reserve an Ocean View, you’ll be blessed with an in-room bar.   Additional standard amenities include coffee maker, compact refrigerator, hairdryer, high-speed internet access and central air conditioning.

As a bonus, all Parc Waikiki guests enjoy a few special perks called Parc Access.  With Parc Access, your room key gives you complimentary VIP access to Oahu’s Bishop Museum, The Contemporary Museum and The Honolulu Academy of Arts.  You also get full room signing privileges at Nobu Waikiki, Halekulani and SpaHalekulani, which is across the street from the Parc.

Dining:  For dinner there’s the dazzling new Nobu Waikiki, which is graced with Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s presence - the world’s leader in innovative Japanese cuisine.  Nobu Waikiki, located directly in the lobby, features a full service sushi bar and a specially priced menu for Parc hotel guests to enjoy Sunday-Thursday called the Nobu Experience.  In the morning, the Nobu dining room becomes “PARC a.m.” and serves a buffet breakfast from 6-10AM, exclusively for Parc hotel guests.

The Fitness Center:  All guests are given complimentary use of “Fitness”, the Parc’s fitness center.   Guests will be able to keep in shape while utilizing workout equipment which includes a programmable treadmill, elliptical machine, recumbent bike and a single stack multi-function machine.  Of course for outdoor fitness, there is also sailing, canoeing, surfing, snorkeling and other beach activities that can be happily arranged by the hotel.

The Business Center:  Mixing a little business with pleasure? The Parc Waikiki offers guests a new stylish business lounge called “Connect.”  It features plush seating, a refreshment bar, newsstand, three flat-screen monitors and work stations, complimentary high-speed internet, a 52-inch flat-panel TV with premium cable selections and concierge services. Connect is exclusive to Parc guests and available 24 hours a day.

Fun:  While most packages offer added value such as free breakfast and a car rental, you might be tempted to also take advantage of a package that includes free surfing lessons. With “Parc Surf” you can get a beachside surfing demonstration followed by a 2-hour surf lesson off one of Waikiki's hottest surf spots: Pops, Paradise, Threes and Fours.   And don’t forget that the Parc Waikiki is within walking distance of the Waikiki Beachwalk, Boutiques of Halekulani, Luxury Row Kalakaua, the Royal Hawaiian Center and the International Marketplace, all featuring an exquisite selection of shops, entertainment venues and restaurants.

So, is the Parc Waikiki beckoning you to make a visit?  The next time you are thinking about a trip to Oahu, give the Parc a try.  Considering the incredible location, the hottest restaurant in Oahu and the price, it’s a great jewel of a hotel.

I have just returned from Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain and what a treat that was.  I was assisting a winery group on a food and wine program at the resort and I must say they give their guests the royal treatment.  Upon arriving, the bell staff already seem to know your name and give you a quick tour of the main lobby, bar area, restaurant and pool.  Check in was a fast and easy process and away they take you to your accommodations.  I stayed in a mountain vista suite, which had views of the mountains, 2 balaconies a large living room and dining area, small kitchen, 2 queen beds and a wonderful bathroom.  The beds were super comfy and the amentiies that they include were great.  Across from our room was 1 of several pools scattered throughout the property and we noticed noone using it.  So, we basically had a private pool for the entire stay.  At the main building was the large infinity pool where most guests spent their time, but our private pool was much better.  The spa and fitness area was wonderful.  They offer a full range of fitness classes throughout the day and a full fitness center with state of the art equipment.  The spa was great, they offer many different treatments for the disserning guest, from facials, eye treatments, massages, body scrubs and reflexology.  The Jewel facial for 90 minutes was unbelievable!!  There are not many options as far as restaurants go, but what they have is great.  The main restaurant, Elements, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and the wait staff are amazing, they remember everything about your preferences and make you feel right at home.  The food is great and if you every have the chance try their signature drink, a grapefruit basil martini.  WOW, I am not a martini drinker, but it was so refreshing.  They have also created table XII.  This is a wonderful culinary experience for a small group of 12 guests.  Hosted by Chef  Beau McMillan, winner of Iron Chef against Bobby Fley, Chef Beau will create your meal right in front of your eyes, come in to your provate room and discuss the meal course by course as it is being served.  What a great time and experience for those participating.  You can also have it paried with your own wine or that from the wine list.  They also have an 800 bottle wine wall that was created just for this experience.  Well worth doing if you have the opportunity.  So, if you want to experience a wonderfully relaxing vacation at Sanctuary, give us a call for some special rates, we would be happy to assist you.
